Advanced Infertility Treatment Options

At Northern California Fertility Medical Center, we believe our IVF and infertility treatment patients should have access to the most advanced and effective reproductive technology options currently available. For this reason, our California IVF center performs micromanipulation techniques such as intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) and pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD), as well as the surgical reversal of sterilization procedures in men and women, laparoscopic surgery to address endometriosis, and surgery to correct abnormalities of the uterus. We also coordinate programs for options such as egg donation and surrogacy. We are committed to helping patients overcome whatever obstacles may stand between them and their future family.

Donor Egg Program

Women who are candidates to receive eggs provided through our Egg Donation Program include those that have low ovarian reserve, those that do not respond well to ovarian stimulation medications, and those that have a genetic condition that could be passed from mother to child. The procedure may also be indicated when the fertilization rate during a course of IVF is very poor, despite having quality sperm.

Our California IVF center is pleased to have very high pregnancy success rates, but we take the most pride in our commitment to outstanding patient care. We recognize that undergoing infertility treatment of any kind can be extremely stressful – physically, emotionally, mentally, and financially – and we do everything in our power to help our patients cope with these stresses and reach a successful outcome.

For more information visit our egg donor site.

Treating Male Infertility

For roughly one-third of couples that have a fertility problem, the complication results from some type of male factor infertility. Approximately another third of couples have both male- and female-bIn Vitro Fertilizationased problems. Therefore, it is important to assess both partners when attempting to identify the source of infertility. Potential causes of male infertility include environmental, lifestyle, endocrine (hormonal), and physical factors that may influence the production, quality, or transfer of sperm. Once these factors are identified, they are usually relatively easy to address and correct. Click here for more information.

NCFMC’s state-of-the-art technology also includes an electronic medical record system called "eIVF." This system streamlines communication, enabling NCFMC patients to have secure and private online access to their treatment protocols, scheduled appointments, and test results. In combination with email access to our physicians, eIVF allows patients to be informed and involved in all aspects of their fertility care.

NCFMC is a member of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (www.sart.org). Our statistics are reported annually to this society and are published on its website. All of our physicians are members of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (www.asrm.org) and the reproductive endocrinologists are members of the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (www.socrei.org).
